We will have a special guest during the Frost Fair again this year - Father Christmas! He will be in his magical pop-up Grotto in the Larch Centre, hoping to meet lots of children between 1pm to 4pm.
Unfortunately, Santa is only able to spend a few hours with us as he has important business to attend to at the North Pole and, although this year we are able to squeeze more children in to see him, there still won’t be time for everyone to visit who may want to. With this in mind, Santa has asked to meet some of the younger children at the Fair – particularly those in Reception and Yr1, so if parents of older children could wait before booking just for a short while – you’d make FC very happy! Thank you.

Each year, we run a festive themed creative competition. This year, we invite Larch children to decorate and or make a Christmas decoration of their own.
During the Frost Fair, decorations will be on display around the Larch Centre and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite staff shortlisted decorations.
Every child that enters will receive a House Point.
The winning decoration will receive a bonus House Point and a £20 Smyth’s voucher.
Please make sure your entry is clearly named and handed in before Wednesday 4th December.
Festive Bake Off
Please deliver your festive cakes and bakes either on Friday 30th or during the morning of the Frost Fair. This is always a popular table; please help us to fill it.
We kindly request you avoid using nuts in your recipes but understand ingredients may contain traces of nuts.
Mudlarks Christmas Tree Sale
Mudlarks are returning with their fresh Christmas trees. By purchasing your Christmas tree from Mudlarks at our Frost Fair, you will be supporting this fantastic local charity that helps adults with learning disabilities and mental health issues.

Festive (Head) Accessory Day Tuesday 26th November
On Tuesday 26th November, the children are invited to come to school, in full uniform, but wearing a festive hat or head accessory in exchange for a donation we can use to fill the hampers. This could be anything from a pack of festive biscuits, a pair of gloves, a bottle of something, books, toiletries, small gifts anything you would be happy to win yourself!
Please avoid donating any nutty items.
This year, the Frost Fair will take place on Saturday 7th December, 1-4pm.
Please do come along and enjoy the afternoon with friends and family, the atmosphere is relaxed and full of festive fun. We have a great selection of external stall holders, creative areas, games, refreshments and entertainment spread over both floors of the Larch Centre.
The popular Secret Shopping Room for children will return too. Adults wait outside while staff oversee the children as they shop and wrap small gifts for their grown ups.

Children are welcome to help you during the fair and will receive a House Point for demonstrating community spirit.

Each child in the Larch Centre will soon receive raffle tickets and a letter detailing some of the incredible prizes that we have secured for the grand draw.
We will also have a selection of items donated by our external stallholders and once again hope to be able to offer you a wonderful selection of hampers!

Raffle tickets will cost £1 each and additional tickets will also available from both school receptions - should you require more.
