An acre of beautiful garden set in Deepcut.
The front garden has flowerbeds and terrace filled with Wisteria, roses and lavender, with a new Hydrangea hedge planted in Spring 2024 . There is a large lawned area to side and back of house with a magnificent mature beech tree offering some dappled shade. The lawn is framed with raised borders, demarking the transition from formal to the more informal part of the garden.
Steps lead up to a raised area which is bathed in daffodils during Spring, onward through yews to an old orchard area which is also being renovated, and at present a blank canvas. To the right, there is a woodland area with mature Scots pines and flower carpet of lily of the valley and bluebells in Spring.
The garden has recently had a lot of work renovating the wisteria, and the planting of multiple David Austin roses which scramble up obelisks, over an arch, and up the sides of the house. The lawn has been reseeded, but maintenance is ongoing, and work is now underway to renovate the borders on the back lawn. This is a year of discovering what is there, and filling the gaps with complimentary plants of interest. The most recent feature is a number of newly placed roots of an old majestic red cedar, which will be transformed into stumperies.
Parking is available on Mindenhurst Road outside the Lakeside Nursery and Primary Academy from where it is a 5 minute walk to our house. The Frog Pub also has a large carpark, but please check parking restrictions on the day.
