PTA Bake-Off

 10/05/2024 (Fri)  15:45 - 16:30
Further Information

Our Olympic themed bake off event is fast approaching! Hopefully you've been able to start having a think of what tasty creations you and your children might like to bake. Just a reminder that all cakes will need to be dropped off by 9am on Friday 10th May with an attached and completed entry form (spares will be available on the day).

Any type of baking is welcome; traybakes, biscuits, cupcakes, whole cakes just please make sure there are NO NUTS at all, including nut butters and Nutella chocolate spread. Cakes will not be refrigerated so no fresh cream please. You don't need to supply a list of ingredients but if any cakes are vegan, gluten-free or dairy-free could be labelled then we can offer them to people looking for those options at the cake sale.

Judging will take place during the morning and winners for each category in KS1 and KS2 will be awarded during the school day. Adult winners will be able to collect their prize from the cake sale or at reception the following week if they are not attending the sale.

At the cake sale we will provide plates and napkins but it could be a good idea to bring a container if you would like to take some more cakes home! Cakes will be available to buy for cash only priced at 50p and £1. We can't wait to see (and taste!) your delicious creations!

Rules

  • Cakes must be brought to the link on the morning of Friday 10th May before 9am.

  • Emma Elliott

    Emma Elliott
    (Chair)

After spending 3 years living abroad, we joined St Francis School in September 2022 and before I knew it I was signed up to the PTA! I have a daughter in Year 4 and a son in Year 1. My role has largely been sending out those all important (and occasionally annoying!) communications to make sure all parents and staff are kept up-to-date with PTA events.

  • Rachael Bond

    Rachael Bond
    (Vice Chair)

I have two sons, one currently in Year 5 at St Francis and one in Year 9 at Toynbee so this is the tenth year that I have been a parent at St Francis. I enjoy helping with lots of PTA events and have run the Family Bingo Night and Parent Presents events for many years. I love giving the children special memories of their time at primary school.

  • Anna Matthews

    Anna Matthews
    (Treasurer)

I have one son who is in Year 2, and two older step-daughters who live outside the county. I work full time as a procurement manager, so spend a lot of time number crunching! I really enjoy actively participating in making a difference within the school with the PTA fundraising events! Outside of this I live a normal life enjoying socialising, exercising, and the odd glass of wine!

  • Sylvia Wong

    Sylvia Wong
    (Secretary)

I have a child in Year 4. I also have a older child who has left St Francis and is now in Thornden.

  • Albert Ryan

    Albert Ryan
    (Marketing)

As a parent at the school for the last 9 years, my eldest is now in Year 8 at secondary school, whilst I still have a daughter (currently in Year 4), at the school. My primary role is helping ensure the website is kept up to date with all of our latest news and events.

  • Louise Essery

    (Fundraising)

I have two sons at the school (Year 3 and Year R) I organise the Summer and Christmas Raffles each year. I also help run the Bake Off with Emma. You will often find me setting up/helping at events the PTA puts on.

  • Lisa Hollier

    Lisa Hollier
    (Member)

I've enjoyed being the Chair of this amazing PTA for the past few years. My youngest is now in Year 6 and I'm looking forward to making my last year the best!
