This is a very exciting raffle that you subscribe to for the year. We have a monthly draw with some amazing prizes, all of which have been donated from local businesses and 3 ‘end of term cash draws’. Each number is £5 per month and you can pay either by monthly direct debit or a one off cash payment.
By joining the 150 club you agree to:
· I/We have read and understand the rules
· I/We agree that if we wish to cancel this order we will inform the PTA by emailing leighprimarypta@gmail.com. This can be cancelled at any point by internet banking or by contacting your bank.
· I/We give permission for my name to be published as a winner on Facebook and in the school’s newsletter. IF YOU DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION PLEASE EMAIL THE PTA.
Leigh Primary School PTA 150 Club Rules
Aims
· The purpose of the 150 club is to raise money for the PTA who support school projects to advance the education of the students within the school.
· All money will go into the PTA bank account and will be used to fund resources, activities and opportunities for the children.
· The more people who join the club, the more money the PTA will raise for the school, and the greater the end of term monetary prize fund pot.
Rules
· For a cost of £5 per month (i.e. per draw), payable via monthly standing order into the PTA bank account, a member is allocated a number between 1-150. Only numbers that are fully paid 7 days prior to the date of the draw will be entered into the draw. There is opportunity for members to select their lucky number(s) on a first come first served basis. If your lucky number(s) have already been allocated you will be randomly allocated the next available number in the series.
There is an alternative option to pay via single cash transfer for the entirety of the remaining school year (e.g. Nov-Aug= 10 months, thus £50). This is the less preferred method of payment, as the participant will have to remember to renew their membership in September to retain their membership number. If payment isn’t made at the start of the new school year the membership number will be allocated to another participant.
· The club runs continuously with each draw being made on the last Friday of each month, with the exception of the end of term draw that will be generally held on the last day of the term. A student will be asked to draw the winning number(s) with a witness present to certify the winning number(s). Please see Leigh Primary School website for a list of the draw dates (accessed via the PTA section).
· The monthly draw will involve a mystery prize. Each month will be sponsored by a local business that will donate a mystery prize(s) for the purpose of the draw. In return for the prize donation the PTA will promote the local business during their sponsored month.
· The end of term draw will involve a monetary draw. 40% of the membership fees within that month will be put into the prize fund with 1st prize awarded 60% of the pot, 2nd prize 25% of the pot and 3rd place 15% of the pot. The amount of prize money available is dependent on the number of members subscribed at the time of the draw.
EXAMPLE: If the club is fully subscribed, each end of term pot would equate to £300 (1st prize= £180, 2nd prize= £75, 3rd prize= £45).
· Participants may cancel their membership and standing order at any point by emailing Leigh Primary PTA to inform them (leighprimarypta@gmail.com). This will enable the membership number to be sold to another participant.
· Participants must be over the age of 16, but any person with a connection to the school or village can become a member. If there is concern that the person wishing to join the club is under the age of 16, proof of age will be requested.
· There is no limit to the number of entrants per household but no individual may purchase more than 5 numbers.
· The prize money will be paid directly into the winning members bank account following liaison with the PTA treasurer (bank details will be destroyed following the transfer). Please note if members would prefer cash rather than direct bank transfer this can be arranged on an individual basis.
· The winning number and the members name will be displayed within the school newsletter and on the school Facebook page.
· The PTA will keep a copy of all members including a contact email address and telephone number. An additional copy will be kept by the School office. By joining the 150 club you are consenting to the above details being kept for the purpose of the running of the club and to enable contact with winning members. At times the PTA may use the email address provided to send exclusive offers from our sponsors. If you are happy to be contacted for marketing purposes in this way please tick the opt out box on your membership form.
· The 150 Club is run by the PTA. In case of any dispute, the Committee decision is final.
The rules were written in October 2020 and will be reviewed annually.
The PTA reserves the right to make amendments on an annual basis.
