Would you like to donate a book?

FOSLS are committed to providing as many books as we can to support learning and foster a love for reading across school. Since 2022, all of the money raised at World Book Day events has been directly spent on the school libraries and it is wonderful to see such an enthusiasm for stories amongst all of our pupils.

Beginning in Summer Term 2024, classes from Y3-Y6 will be reading a set text each term as part of their English lessons, meaning school are committing to source 12 sets of class books over the next year. FOSLS have agreed to fund the Summer Term books and would love your help to do this.

If you are able, and would like to support our fundraising to cover the cost of these books, please consider a donation which we will spend directly on this project. We have suggested a £5 donation per book which should cover the cost of the text and a protective sleeve. If you would like, we can also insert a label into the front of the book which reads "Kindly donated by (your name)" so please leave details at checkout if you would like us to do this. Otherwise the label will read "Kindly donated by FOSLS".

Thank you in advance for your support.

Fundraising

All the money we raise gets reinvested back into school for the benefit of all our pupils. For 2023/24 we’ve set a fundraising target of £10000 and are raising money for new reading books, essential equipment to enhance learning, and improvements to our outdoor space.
