We would like to cordially invite you all to join us in school or virtually by Zoom on Thursday 14th July at 7:30pm. It is a great way to see and celebrate an overview of our 2021-2022 activities, funds raised and spent and a glimpse into our 2022-2023 calendar. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
We are all friendly volunteers with varied passions, professions and skills and would like FOBS to continue to support the school long after our own children have finished at Binfield. To do that, we need parents who care and are dedicated to making Binfield the best school for our children. Being part of FOBS is very rewarding and you not only will understand more about the school, but also you will make friends along the way.
If you attend the AGM you can opt to become a 'General Committee Member' for the forthcoming year and will be entitled to vote on matters raised at FOBS meetings.
Most importantly, at this meeting, all elected core committee members for 2021-2022 stand down and the election of the 2022-2023 core committee members will take place.
In order for FOBS to continue operating, we must have a minimum of 4 core committee members but many hands make light work!
Our current elected committee positions available are:
- Chair
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Vice-Treasurer role
- Website co-ordinator
- Marketing and Communications role
- Sponsorship role
All positions are open to any parent or carer within the school. Job descriptions for core roles are available to view on our website (About Us > Documents) and as per our constitution, all positions are elected by those in attendance at the annual AGM.
If you wish to be nominated for any of these roles above, please complete the attached nomination form and return to fobs@friendsofbinfieldschool.co.uk by 8pm on 13 July 2021. Please also read the constitution to understand the requirements for standing on the committee.
We will also be holding a brief SGM prior to the AGM in order to review and adopt a revised constitution.
Please find the proposed draft under About Us > Documents.
If you would like to join the meeting or find out more, please send your name and email address to fobs@friendsofbinfieldschool.co.uk, a Zoom link will be sent out on Thursday 14th July for those wishing to join virtually.
Many thanks
FOBS.
