Message From Vicki
This year I have completed my 3rd year as chair of the PA
I would like to thank Stacey - treasurer, Mandy secretary and Annie publicity officer and every other committee member who has generously donated time to support the PA in raising money for additional items and fun times for our children to enjoy.
Thank you to the Heads, Teachers and office staff for their help and support.
Also to all the many parents, carers and family members on the volunteer group.
We had 16 committee members elected at last year's AGM, most of you who are back today for more, thank you.
Heads Reports
Ms McAuliffe sends her apologies however she has sent me this to share with you:
On behalf of St Helen's Infant School, I would like to say a huge thank you to the PA for their hard work and commitment to fundraising for our school. I know how precious time is and I greatly appreciate you volunteering your time to support us.

Last year the money raised was used for:
* Year 2 Bibles
* Subsidising school trips (paying for the coaches) Every child was able to go on at least one trip. Including year 2s to Basildon theatre for a pantomime, a trip to Thriftwood – memories that I am sure will last a lifetime
* Subsidising event days ( Mad Science workshops, Dance workshops, African drums etc)
* Phonics and Reading resources
This year we would like to use the money for:
* Year 2 Bibles
* Subsidising school trips (paying for the coaches)
* Enhancing the curriculum with event days (science workshops, Dance workshops, etc)
* Educational resources for the children to support learning ie: artsmark resources
Your support with fundraising, during a time when school budgets have been severely impacted by the current economic situation is enabling us, to continue providing opportunities for all of the children to access the curriculum the deserve. Thank you very much.
Ms McAuliffe
Mr Daley
Mr Daley thanked the school community for their support and commitments over the last year. The money raised last year helped to complete the ICT Suite and to provide extra resources for the library areas within the school. There was also money spent on educational signs to go around the playground for the children, the school is working to get these put up safely.
The money raised for the upcoming year will go towards an outdoor gym for the playground and towards further resources for the classrooms.
Cheque presented to Mr Daley
Treasurers Report
Firstly, a big thank you to all the local businesses that supported with donations and prizes at all of our events and thanks to the parents, PA members, all of the school staff, caretakers and school heads and our special school community for their continued fundraising and support. I know personally that the events have been great fun and enjoyed by so many. The rain didn't dampen the Easter Egg hunt which ended up in the Junior school hall – who knew you could hide 600 plastic eggs in this room multiple times.
We have again surpassed our fundraising efforts and for the 2022-2023 academic year raised an incredible £24,791 (a new PA record). This year in addition to our excellent fundraisers such as the

summer picnic, Christmas events and discos we held a pro-strike football events (Juniors only) which raised an amazing £4412. The money for this event has already been issued to the Juniors and went towards the refurb of the computer suite. In addition to this I am proud to say that the PA will be issuing a total of £20,000 across the two school - £12,000 for Juniors and £8,000 for Infants (the split is due to 60/40 pupil ratio).
The continued dedication of PA members in giving up time and effort is the primary contributor to ensuring that the schools receive generous donations. The hours given by the volunteers are invaluable.
As of the 4th of October 2023, there is a balance of £30,063.65 across our main bank account and paypal account. This total includes the two cheque amounts mentioned above. The association remains on course to deliver further generous donations to the schools.
