Your Association

St Catherines Association

The St Catherine's Association has been set up for parents, carers, friends, teachers and non-teaching staff to raise extra money for the school and ultimately the children.

The Association works closely with the school to plan and pull off successful events. This valuable working relationship has helped generate a considerable amount of money. The school use this money to purchase resources for the children's classrooms to enrich the learning experience. We appreciate all the support you have given us to date and hope you will continue to do so in the future.

The more we raise, the more our children benefit. This is YOUR Association!

The Committee

We are a very active and friendly parent committee of parents who meet regularly to discuss fundraising initiatives and organise events, and are supported by a team of parent/teacher-volunteers who give their time to help out at some of these events. Each class has one or two representatives for their year group.

If you are interested in becoming more involved in the Association or just want to come along to see what is going on, please join us.

There are numerous ways you can support your child through the Asociation and help raise money for our school:

  • Get involved, give some of your time to attend meetings and functions.
  • Do you work for/own a company that might be prepared to support the Association by donating a raffle prize or sponsoring a stall at our major events e.g. Summer Fayre.
  • Do you work for a company that has a company matched giving scheme for employees, such as a bank or building society? If you dont know, ask your employer.
  • Buy raffle tickets
  • Help out at events - many hands make light work!

Meetings

Annual General Meeting

The Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in annually in October or November. It is an opportunity for parents to hear in more detail, about past, current and future events, how funds are raised and how the money has been spent. Elections of Committee Officers take place at these meetings and ideas are put forward for future fundraising activities.
