Do you consider yourself a bit of a telly addict? Whether you are or you are not this quiz will be a load of fun, there are no questions, just clips of theme tunes from TV programmes for you to identify. It's as simple as that.
We also thought it would be a good excuse to dress up for the event as none of us can get out to properly go out at the moment, so thought this would be a nice way to help make an evening of it.
Being a giant quiz, there are 26 rounds with 10 TV theme clips of up to 20 seconds per clip in each round. To give you some hints, each round has been categorised i.e. Crime Drama, Comedy, Sports programmes etc.
Each team will have a joker that they can play once on any round of their choice which will double their score for that round.
Due to the current situation we will be running the quiz via Zoom. Therefore you will need a PC, tablet or phone to link and enough charge to last the quiz. This event is estimated to be around 2 hours. The answers will be submitted via Google forms, so it may be useful to have a second device to hand to submit your answers. Note that Google forms requires that a valid email address is entered into the form as well as the answers. This is to allow the answers to be identified for each team and once marked can be emailed back to you.
Answers will be submitted after each round and marked, once all answers are submitted the answers will be provided so you won't be left to ponder over the ones you couldn't identify and I will keep you up to date with who is in the lead on a regular basis.
How do I book my place?
If this sounds like a bit of fun, then sign up via the online shop when tickets are available. Rather than a per person price, the ticket price is £10 for your zoom link (Screen), so as many people that are allowed (within the current rules) in your house / bubble can attend the quiz.
Once you have booked your place, you’ll receive an email with the Zoom log in details. You won’t be able to attend without this.
The online answer sheets, information and instructions will follow; you’ll receive these by email by Saturday morning 27th February at the latest, but could be earlier.
Booking closes at 09:00 on Saturday 27th February - so make sure you book your places before then. Late bookings will not be accepted.
Please make sure that you have pfc@pta-events.co.uk in your allowed email addresses so that your order confirmation and other information etc do not end up in the spam filter.
When placing your order, the confirmation email should be with you in a matter of minutes, confirming details and an order number. If you have not received it, then it will likely be in junk / spam folder, by adding the email address above will prevent this from happening.
