Q&A

What is Give as you Live Online and how does it work?

Give as You Live online is a free and easy way to raise money for Perdiswell PTA, just by shopping online.

Once you've signed up, you can browse the Give as You Live website for the store you want to shop with. Click 'Shop & Raise' to go to their website, then continue to shop as normal. You will receive an email within 1-7 days to let you know how much you have raised.

How much can I raise?

The donation amount varies from store to store. Most of the time you raise a percentage of what you spend - between 1% and 10% - whilst sometimes it is a fixed amount.

And it's free?

Yes! You don't pay anything extra for your shopping, the donation is made at no extra cost to you. It's also completely free for Perdiswell PTA to use. There are no joining or payment fees, so 100% of the donation will reach us.

Will this work when I shop via my phone?

Yes! There is an app you can download. You can use Give as You Live via desktop, laptop, mobile, phone or tablet.

What is the donation reminder?

It's brilliant! Download the donation reminder and when you browse the internet and land on a website partnered with Give as You Live, a handy pop up will appear to tell you. With one click you can then continue shopping and raising donations.

How many stores are linked to this?

Give as you Live have partnered with over 4000 leading stores as well as dozens of providers across insurance, energy and broadband.

Supermarkets operate via storecard system where you pre-load a gift card and then spend them either online or in store. Eg. A £100 card with Asda will donate £2 to Perdiswell PTA.

Can my family join in too?

Yes! The more people that use this facility the more money we can raise. Every member has a unique share link that you can send to your friends, family and colleagues. For every person who signs up and raises £5 of donations, Give as you Live will donate £5 to Perdiswell Primary School.

When will Perdiswell PTA receive the donation?

Charities are payed one a month. Donations typically move from 'pending' to 'approved' to 'paid' over the course of a few months.

Where does the donation come from?

As a 'thank you' for sending them sales and customers, stores pay Give as You Live a commission. That commission is used to make a donation to Perdiswell Primary PTA.

Can I book my holidays via Give as you Live?

Yes! They are partnered with Booking.com, Havens, Hoseasons, Hotels.com to name but a few. You can search for holidays directly from the site and any booking you make from there will generate a donation to Perdiswell PTA.

Can I switch my broadband, insurance or utility provider via Give as You Live?

Yes! You can use the site to compare broadband, insurance and utility providers and if you switch you will generate a donation for Perdiswell PTA.
