About us

About us

We are fortunate at our school to have a PTA that's an integral part of the school community. Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children's educational experience and the schools facilities. Fundraising activities include our annual summer and Christmas fairs, gift rooms, Christmas cards, quizzes, discos and many more.   We are currently heavily involved in the pond renovation project.  The PTA has funded new playground equipment, benches on the playground (made from recycled plastic), the installation of AstroTurf, PE equipment and uniform, the annual school pantomime and many smaller items.

Our association is about much more than simply fundraising. Meadow Vale PTA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. Its fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or volunteers.

All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available. When your child joins the school, all parents and carers automatically become members of the PTA and ultimately, play a vital role in supporting our fundraising events and activities throughout the year. The whole school benefits from the wonderful extra resources that our fundraising provides but we couldn't do it without your help and support.

We welcome any help from parents, teachers and friends, and have a growing list of volunteers who commit some of their time to helping the association. Every little helps, so just one hour of assisting at an event or wrapping lucky dip prizes or folding raffle tickets (just a few examples) would be invaluable. If you would like to join us please speak to a committee member, come along to our next meeting, join us on Facebook - Meadow Vale School PTA or email us pta@meadowvaleprimary.com
