Yoto Player is a carefully connected screen-free speaker designed for kids, that brings the best audio into one place. We offer 6 audio categories: Stories, Music, Sounds Effects, Radio, Podcasts and Activities, as well as blank Make Your Own cards to which customers can add their own audio (record a story, mp3 playlist etc..). Cards are sold separately and cost between £1.99 and £8.99 depending on the length of the audio. 
 
Yoto Player is easy and intuitive for kids to play with; the experience is built around the cards: pop a card into Yoto Player and the audio starts, take the card out again and the audio stops. Inserted again, the audio starts to play exactly from where you left off when putting the card back in. The first time a card is inserted into the player it will download the content from our server to the Yoto Player, so that card can be played again when the Player is offline. 
 
Yoto Player has no screen, no camera, no ads, no microphone; we're giving children aged 2-12 years old the freedom to play this audio in a safe environment, without distraction. With a simple pixel display, nightlight-mode, a clock, Bluetooth capability built-in, free daily content and a host of other features, Yoto Player is more than a smart speaker. 
 
We constantly improve Yoto and add new features thanks to OS updates. Yoto Player, when online, will automatically download the latest firmware.

There is also a free mobile app to help parents get set-up and manage settings behind the scenes (name of the player, max volume, nightlight colour etc..). When cards are purchased from our store, they will automatically be added to your app library, so you can enjoy the audio straight away while waiting for the physical card to arrive; this is what we called Instant Play. There is also a scan function: tap the card and the audio will play from your phone. All audio you own (or free audio) is accessible all the time on the app, so they can be played at any time wherever you are.
