Tasks for volunteers
Help to post leaflets to neighbours a month before event / flyering other runs in September
A month before the event we really could do with some help delivering letters to local residents to let them know about the run and flyering other runs to let them know about the event (we will get permission first) at the beginning / mid September. If you are available to help with this that would be amazing! Thank you!
Setting up the course the day before - (the whole day / half day / a few hours ) thank you!
We really need all hands on deck the day before the run! This task involves setting up at the school and / or on the 10k course in the forest the day before the event. We would love some assistance at either the School or in the Forest! THANK YOU!! Please leave a 'message to the organisers' when checking out to say what hours you can do. We are hoping to start setting up at 10am and if there are enough volunteers, we will be finished by 5pm. Thank you!
Help set up the morning of run day (We need lots of help for this please and thank you!!)
Refreshments stall (from 09:30 until 12:30)- let us know availability during these times.
This task involves helping on the refreshments stall at the school during the children's fun run and/or 10k. The 10k runners get a free hot drink at the end of the run (and a free slice of cake!) THANK YOU!
IS IT CAKE?? YES IT IS - AND YOU BAKED IT... (Please drop off cakes before the 10k run starts)
We'd love you to bake a cake! Yummy and delicious but nut free please! Vegan bakes will be greatly appreciated and please label all items.
All our runners get a free hot drink and a slice of CAKE when they finish. It's a lovely touch and they are very appreciative.
Thank you!
Marshal at the children's fun run! (09:20am) and help clearing the course ready for the 10k.
This is a lovely task marshalling at the course in the school for the children's run. We will then need help moving the course around after the children's run to prepare for the 10k run so if you have an extra 20 minutes that would be fabulous! Thank you!!
10K Marshals in the forest. Bring your cheers and a flask of tea!! WE NEED LOADS OF MARHSAL'S!!!
Can you cheer?? If the answer is yes then this task is for you!!! Can you give out sweets? Yes, fabulous!! We cannot run the event without marshal's so THANK YOU!! Please leave a 'message to the organisers' when checking out to say whether you need to be near the school while marshalling, or whether you would prefer to be in the forest. Ruth x
