Bag2School is an eco-friendly fundraising scheme that helps us to raise funds through textile recycling as well as spreading textile recycling awareness.

Your child will come home with a Bag 2 School bag which can be filled with unwanted textile items including:

Men’s, Ladies’, and Children’s clothing
Paired shoes (tied together or elastic band around)
Handbags, Hats, Bags
Scarves and ties, Jewellery, Lingerie, Socks, Belts
Soft toys*
Household linen, Household curtains, Household towels
Household bedding (bed sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers)
*Please can you save any good quality school uniform, Christmas jumpers and non-baby soft toys for FONS to use to raise more funds.

NO soiled, painted, ripped, or wet clothing please.

We receive 50p per kilo or £500 per tonne of textile collected. Please help us to achieve a good weight by asking family, friends, neighbours, and work colleagues if they will fill an extra bag. You don’t have to just use the bag provided as any bin liner will be accepted.

Over the two collections last academic year we raised £368. We can beat that this year and save textiles going to landfill. 

Drop off Point

Bags can be left in the front of the school by the notice board and under the awning. Please pile bags against the wall to keep the walkway clear and not obstruct access. Bags can be left from 8.45am on Tuesday 30th April until 8.45am on Wednesday 1st May.
