Send your love soaring, by entering a virtual balloon in the Ecoracing Valentine's Balloon Race!
Balloons cost £3, and if bought via the following link https://ecoracing.co/user/page/1260, £2.35 goes to the Friends of Halsford Park School. The deadline for buying a balloon is 11:30am on 14 February.
Our balloons will join hundreds of others purchased in support of other causes, so competition is fierce, but the balloon that has travelled the furthest by the end of the race wins £500, second place wins an iPad and then there are ten prizes of a £10 book token. In addition to these national prizes, we will be adding three of our own prizes for Halsford Park supporters only, each including a book token and some other goodies.
The race takes place online, launches from the Eiffel Tower at 12 noon GMT on 14 February, and runs for seven days. Once purchased, each balloon can be named and customised. As well as buying balloons for yourself and your family, balloons can be gifted to loved ones.
Even though the balloons are computer generated, once released they will react to real-time weather patterns, and can be tracked online for the seven day duration of the race (or until they ‘pop’) via your Ecoracing dashboard! The race takes place throughout half term, so tracking the balloons could be an interesting family activity for the holidays.
Unfortunately we don’t have any future events planned at the moment.
