2023 Colour Run

What you need to know 

Getting a ticket

To purchase tickets please see products available. Priority will be given to children at Bishops Waltham Junior and an infant Schools.

Merchandise

There will be merchandise to buy at the event.

Sponsorship

Whilst the entry fee pays for the cost of the paint, t-shirt and wrist band there is little left for the play trail equipment which we are trying to raise funds for.  To help us to boost our fundraising we are asking if runners can raise £20.23 in sponsorship to raise the money to help begin to purchase items of equipment in the play trail area.  All funds  raised from sponsorship and sales will go towards the Play trail equipment.

Sponsorship money can be paid in via the below routes….

●          cash at the school office (in a labelled envelope with child’s name and sponsor money)

●          BACS transfer (clearly indicating sponsor money and child name)

Make sure you bring 

A white T-shirt is included in the entry pack, but children will need to bring in trousers / shorts and trainers to run in.  Please don’t wear your best outfits as you will be getting messy!

The paint powder is free of allergens, toxins and washable but we recommend protection for sensitive eyes e.g. goggles / glasses. There is the opportunity to buy some colourful sunglasses on the day to complete your look. 

You are not permitted to bring your own coloured powder to the event as we cannot guarantee it is free from allergens or toxins.

Please also ensure you bring inhalers and any other medication for your children as access to the school building and anything usually left on site will be limited.

Card and Cash payments - FOBS have gone digital and will be able to accept card payments. We will be accepting cash and card payments at the bar, BBQ and merchandise to add to the fun. 

On the day 

To avoid being left at home, packs containing T-shirts and wrist bands will be delivered to the classes on the afternoon on the colour run. For any grown ups, friends or siblings taking part who are not pupils at Bishops Waltham Junior School these will be available to collect from the check point table. Please ensure you are wearing your wrist band on the day in order to participate.  We will check you in before the race starts.

There are two wave start times to allow for children to get changed and have a warm up and for those starting later the warm up will be repeated at the allocated time.  Please gather on the school field for the colourful event.

As this is an after school event, children will be the responsibility of their grown-up(s). The exception for this is children who will be in Active 360 after school who will be the responsibility of the Active 360 staff.

Please be advised that the back entrance to the school will not be open and access to the run will be via the main entrance to the school. 

Active 360

Children who attend Active 360 after school club will be escorted to and from the field by a member of Active 360 staff so they can still participate in the run if agreed in advance and a ticket purchased. Children in Active 360 but not participating will continue with their normal activities in the school. 

Timings 

15:15 – School ends and children get changed before heading down the field.

Wave 1

15:45 – Super fun warm up 

16:00 – Start of the run  

 

Wave 2

17:00 - Super fun warm up  

17:15 – start of the run

 

15:15 – 18:30 – Keep the fun going with the tasty BBQ and drinks from the bar. 

The course 

To allow everyone and anyone to take part in the Colour Run there will be one course which is a short distance, but anyone who does not resemble a rainbow can keep running around as many times as they like.  The course will involve running around the field and navigating obstacles. 

             BBQ, bar and refreshments 

No family fun would be complete without food for hungry tums and a licenced bar. The BBQ will be serving up delicious hot dogs and burgers from a local butcher as well as equally delicious meat free alternatives. 

Need dessert? We have that covered with a selection of ice creams, lollies, Krispy Kreme Donuts and other goodies.   

Photography 

We are very lucky to have a brilliant local photographer, Stephen Jeffrey attending our event. He will be taking photographs of the run and groups. If you would not like your child(ren) to be photographed, please contact the school office. These photographs will be removed and not made public.  Photos will be available for purchase.
