The Little Gaddesden Folk, Roots & Blues Club is delighted to welcome the fabulous Lady Nade to our NEW VENUE FOR 2024, the intimate and atmospheric Little Gaddesden Church! The earliest written reference to the stunningly beautiful St Peter & St Paul in Little Gaddesden is to be found in a document dated 1161, signed by Thomas a’Becket, who lived in Berkhamsted castle at that time. No doubt he would have approved of the recent extension which will contain our fully stocked bar, supported by Tring brewery!
With nominations for Artist of the Year at the AMAUK Awards in 2023 and a Song of the Year win at the UK Americana Awards in 2022, Lady Nade stands as one of the UK's most distinctive voices. Recognized as one of Bristol's Most Influential Women in 2022 by Bristol.Live, she's an award-winning songstress of extraordinary caliber.
Lady Nade's music defies easy categorization, blending Folk, Americana, Soul, Jazz, Blues, and Roots, into a captivating tapestry. Her compositions explore themes of love, friendship, loss, and hope, resonating with a global audience. Each song is a work of art, accompanied by a recipe crafted to mirror each of her song's essence.
Her illustrious career spans three impactful albums, earning acclaim from esteemed publications like Folk Radio, Americana UK, and The Guardian. Lady Nade's latest release, 'Willing,' soared on both the official Folk and Americana charts.
In her forthcoming album, Lady Nade collaborates with Ivor Novello artist Boo Hewerdine, delving into themes of self-expression, community, vulnerability, and mental health. Producer Archie Sylvester of Ferris and Sylvester, 2020 winners of the Bob Harris Emerging Artist of the Year, brings this project to life.
Lady Nade's performances are transformative experiences, where audiences come together to celebrate community and togetherness through her music. Her tracks find a home on esteemed radio shows, including BBC Radio 2's Mark Radcliffe - The Folk Show and Cerys Matthews - Blues Show, among others.
