Class Reps
Class reps are a very important part of the FOBG network. We all appreciate that taking on the Class Rep role for one or two parents is quite time consuming so breaking it down is a way of spreading the tasks amongst year group volunteers.
Class Liaison Rep:
Compile a contact list of all children in the class together with email, telephone number, address and full names of parents/carers, and circulate this list to the class and teacher. Co-ordinate the rota for parent/helpers in class (reading, etc) and find out if the teacher needs any extra materials for projects/homework etc that parents could donate/help with. Welcome new families to Bishop Gilpin and introduce them to other parents in the class.
Christmas Fair Rep:
Organise class stall for Christmas Fair.
Summer Fair Rep:
Organise class stall for Summer Fair.
Class Swimming Rep:
For Year 2 Summer Term only and Year 3 Autumn term only.
Cake Sale Rep:
Organise a year group cake sale in each term (in partnership with other class reps). Funds raised in the Autumn and Spring term are split between year classes. in the Summer term funds raised go to FOBG.
Teacher Collection Rep:
Collect donations/signatures for Christmas/end of year gifts. Donations of £2 maximum should be asked for. More can be given if parents want to.
Class Social Rep:
Arrange a social event for the class once a term, e.g. coffee mornings / evening drinks parties and encourage class members to attend and donate to other fundraising and social events, e.g. quiz nights, auction of promises.

2017-2018 Fundraising Total. We are hoping to raise another £35K in this academic year. These funds will continue to go to Bishop Gilpin's new entrance project: parent shelters, seating, bike shelters.
We can’t put on these amazing events without your help. If you can help us, we still need the following volunteers:
FOBG Bingo Night 2019 (Friday 15 March)
Help with setting up hall/ bar 15:30 - 19:28
Help serving on the bar 19:30 - 00:28
Help with clearing up hall/ bar 23:30 - 00:28
Magic Shows (Friday 06 December)
All parents, governors and staff are automatically members of The Friends of Bishop Gilpin (FOBG). FOBG fundraises to buy things that the school budget cannot afford.
The Committee meets twice a term to decide on fundraising activities and also on how to spend the money raised. All parents are welcome to come along to meetings.
Please come back and visit the website for up-to-date info on our events and fundraising.
