We are looking to assist the school with the implementation of the temporary School Street.
School Streets are where vehicle access is temporarily restricted by the use of moveable barriers which will be marshalled by volunteers. The Clare House School Street runs during term time only from Monday to Friday at the following times:
Mornings: 8.30am - 9.05am (35 minutes)
Afternoons: 2.45pm - 3.30pm (45 minutes)
How Can I Help?
We are looking for two types of volunteers to help monitor the Stanley Avenue / Overbury barrier:
Regular volunteers who are willing to assist with at least one slot per week (morning or afternoon).
Reserve volunteers who are unable to commit to weekly sessions but are willing to be on a list to be called up in the event a regular volunteer is unable to attend their session.
What does being a volunteer entail?
1. Arrive 5 minutes before the start time of the school street and set up the barriers.
2. The barriers are to be manned in case a resident permit holder, blue badge holder or emergency services vehicle requires access.
3. Remove and store the barriers at the end of the session.
You will be provided with a full volunteer guide should you sign up to volunteer.
Can I volunteer with my children?
Please refer to the letter sent out. Children will not be allowed to help with the volunteering.

1. Login to the website
2. Amend the quantity to 1

It is really important that our children have a safe, low stress and pollution free environment outside their school.

We have a very active PTA at Clare House Primary School and we exist to raise funding for resources and equipment that cannot be financed from the school budget. With huge support from the school community we hope to continue to raise a considerable amount of money which benefits all our children.
