Your PTA committee for 2024-2025
Co-chair - Fran Walker
Hi, I'm Fran. I have a daughter in year two and a son in nursery. I'm a civil servant, working in international climate and development - so Brookburn's focus on the environment and its brilliant green space are part of what I love most about the school. Maintaining this will continue to be an important part of the PTA's work this year. In the tiny amount of time I have for interests outside of work/kids I enjoy outdoor swimming, cycling (slowly) and eating nice food. I'm originally from Yorkshire so drinking tea is also a major part of my life.
Co-chair - Ayse Ince_Brown
Hi Brookburn, I’m Ayse, your new Co-Chair with Fran. Our boys are in year 2 and year 1, they keep us incredibly entertained and are the biggest contributor to our step count. We love travelling together and enjoy the wilder side of life . Another lawyer I’m afraid, my passion being inquests following state detention death and mental health bits and bobs ( I know, what a mouthful). Really excited to be joining this band of fabulous women.
Secretary – Mariche Chambers
Hi, I’m Mariche. Our boys moved to Brookburn part-way through the pandemic and are now in Year 5 and in Year 2. We love everything that Brookburn has to offer and I’m looking forward to helping support the PTA next year. When I am not running around after my boys, I’m doing my best pretending to work as a banking and finance lawyer. I’ll pitch in where I can.
Ceri Riley - Treasurer
Hi, I'm Ceri, the new Treasurer. My daughter is in year two, so I've been part of the Brookburn community for a few years now. My day job as an environmental toxicologist doesn't involve too much accounting, so we'd love to hear from any qualified accountants or financial wizards who'd like to lend a hand! Outside of school and work I'm a keen snowboarder and love getting away in our campervan.
Eco Lead - Tiffany Chong
Hi, I'm Tiff. I'm originally from Canada and I've been a parent at Brookburn for what feels like forever. I have a daughter in Year 5 and another who is now in high school. I help with the School Street initiative and the monthly Dolphin Den & Allotment volunteer sessions for families. Brookburn has a fantastic community of pupils, parents, teachers, and neighbours who happily pitch in to make the school a greener and healthier place. When I'm not running late for school drop-off on a daily basis, I'm working in the field of low energy building design.
