We are really looking forward to hosting a Christmas Fair this year - which will be the first one for many of you! There is loads to look forward to; lots of fun stalls for the children, mulled wine for the adults, bottle & chocolate tombola for everyone, sweets, refreshments, hot dogs ... and of course Father Christmas will be there for the children to visit! The fair will open with a performance from the Rocksteady teachers, and many of the children will be performing - Reception children, Year 1, Y6 drama club and Boxgrove Choir.
We will allocate every class a stall, then your reps will ask for volunteers to run it for the whole fair. Such a big event is only possible with lots of help from lots of people! So if you can give just half an hour it would be much appreciated. Lots of dads often come down to school any time from 8.30am to help us set up - please just come along if you can, it's always good fun! Or if you can stay later after the fair finishes at 4pm your help would be very welcome - the fair takes place in 3 buildings so there's lots of clearing up to do!

This year we are focusing on replacing the playground equipment for the 270 children in KS1. We will also support the school in improving the outdoor space for all the children as well as the usual help with books, maths equipment etc across the school.

This year we will be supporting the school in implementing OPAL, a radically new approach to learning through outdoor play for all the children, as well as increasing the profile of computing in the classroom and across the curriculum. This is in addition to the usual help with books, maths equipment etc. across the school.
